McClure Reservoir

McClure Reservoir held 1,880 acre-feet on Nov 4, 2026. It has no capacity figure we can check, so we show acre-feet only.

A municipal water supply reservoir. On Santa Fe River. Rio Grande basin.

1,880acre-feet held, Nov 4, 2026
Up 695acre-feet over 30 days
1,399acre-feet a year ago

For these reservoirs the only capacity figure is the owner's own estimate of normal storage, which has not been corrected for sediment and was not checked against the operator's measurements. We show how much water they hold, in acre-feet, and no percent.

About this reservoir

The City of Santa Fe's upper water-supply reservoir on the Santa Fe River, in the closed municipal watershed above the city. Built in 1926.

How to use these numbers

  • Santa Fe's surface supply. With Nichols, the city's share of surface water, as opposed to its wells and San Juan-Chama water from the Buckman diversion.

Read before quoting a number

  • Storage only; percentages use the owner-reported normal storage.

How capacity is known

The only capacity figure is the owner-reported normal storage, 3,282 acre-feet. National Inventory of Dams normal storage (owner-reported, not sediment-corrected) Because it is not an operator's measured table, we show water held in acre-feet and no percent.
